Fine jewellery is an investment that lasts for generations, especially if the jewellery features diamonds. When purchasing diamond jewellery pay attention to the diamonds essentials—the four Cs: colour, cut, clarity and carat weight. These are the four important characteristics by which a diamond quality is judged. If all four rates high, it is more likely that the diamond is expensive. Artificially grown or Lab grown diamonds also known as synthetic diamonds, are not fake diamonds. As matter of fact synthetic diamonds have the same physical and optical properties of mined stones. Technically, they are polished the same way therefore creating the same sparkle and typically both are real diamonds each having its own origin. Minerals are developed by a geological process. The geological processes makes fabulous varieties of beautiful gemstones, but unfortunately only a few are ready for jewellery in their natural state, so a lot of jewellery manufacturers treat their stones to brighten-up their colour and sparkle, creating quality gems to be made available in the market. It has been known that an estimated 80-percent of all gemstones are treated the same way before reaching the retailer.
